Hannah Lavery lives in Dunbar with her husband and their three children, a former Secondary English Teacher, she has been a freelance writer since 2013, with residences with The Scottish Book Trust, The Whole Works in Edinburgh and the Bleachingfield Centre in Dunbar.
Her debut pamphlet of poetry The Drift, has been recently published by Appletree Writers Press/Bowdy Kite Books and the accompanying show sold out at the Bowdy Kites at The Edinburgh Fringe 2016.
In 2017, she was awarded a Megaphone Residency from Workers Theatre to further develop The Drift.
She is also working on her debut pamphlet of
short stories set to be published by Postbox Press in 2018.
